How to Install and Configure SmartFill Software (Version 9.4)

To get started with SmartFill, follow these simple steps to install and configure the software on your PC.

1. Download the Software

Visit our Downloads page and navigate to Downloads > Software to find the latest version of the SmartFill software. Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

2. Install One-Wire Drivers (Version 9.4 Only)

For version 9.4, you’ll also need to install one-wire drivers for the memory key.

• After installation, open the Tools menu.

• Select either the 32-bit or 64-bit driver installer.

• To determine your Windows version:

  
  

  1. Click the Windows icon in the lower-left toolbar.

  2. Right-click on Computer and select Properties.

  3. Your system type (32-bit or 64-bit) will be listed there.

  
  

• Choose the corresponding driver option from the Tools menu and follow the prompts to install.

Note: If you don’t have permission to install software, please contact your IT department.

3. Retain Existing Vehicle and Driver Files

If you want to retain your existing data:

• Locate the files drivers.dat and vehicles.dat in:

  C:\Program Files\SmartFill9.x

• Copy these files into the new data directory:

  
  

  • For Windows 7/Vista:

    C:\ProgramData\SmartFill 9.x

  • For Windows XP:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SmartFill 9.6

These folders may be hidden by default. Ensure hidden folders are visible to access them.

4. Set the Fuel Reports Path

By default, fuel reports are saved in:

C:\Users\Public\Fuel Reports

To change this location:

• Open the software.

• Go to the Tools menu.

• Use the Set Path option to choose a new directory for saving fuel reports.
